Sky Octo LNB

Sky LNBs are designed to fit certain dishes. We supply the MK4 LNB (with adapter if required). Older LNBs are no longer manufactured. We supply details of the "finger" or "spigot" dimensions (below) so you can match them to your dish. Please measure your dish arm internal dimensions and choose the adapter if required.

Alternatively, you can buy a dish and matching LNB together as a kit from us.

Will this fit my dish?

If your dish is a Sky MK4 dish the LNB arm is an inverted U in section, with the lower section open (i.e. it is not a closed tube). Our MK4 LNB fits this MK4 dish (see photo showing measurement, below).

If your dish is a MK2 or MK3 dish with internal arm dimensions 28 x 18.5mm then you can use our MK4 LNB with the adapter, above. Fitting instructions - click here

How do I connect it?

Use cable with 'F' plugs fitted. All outputs are equal so it doesn't matter which cable goes to which output. See related pages:-

Historical Information

MK4 Sky minidishes were manufactured after April 2009 and have a different LNB attachment method from earlier minidishes. The arm is 27mm wide (external) and of open channel construction. The LNB bracket fits over the top of it. Our MK4 LNB will fit a MK2 or MK3 dish if you order the adapter. It should also fit a MK1 dish (below) without the adapter but you must drill a hole and fit a self-tapping screw or a nut and bolt

A MK1 Sky minidish looks like the very old Channel Master dish in this photograph, with internal arm dimensions 23 x 10mm approximately. The MK4 LNB is a loose fit over the dish arm and will need to be packed with shims to prevent movement and secured with a screw or bolt. Before securing it, you must slide it back and forth to locate the focal position (highest signal indication).

(ChannelMaster Sky minidishes were originally installed with a Grundig "G" type LNB such as "G88" shown in this photo.)
