Amplifier notes:- In general, there is no need to fit 75 Ohm terminators to unused amplifier or Loft Box outputs. Those amplifiers and Loft Boxes with an unused input might require a terminator to prevent interference. Where an amplifier is stated to have, for example, a 7dB gain, this refers to the amplification given to every output signal compared with the input signal. faceplate TV + SAT Diplexer System |
| | Note: You can use this "combiner" as a decombiner as well. So if you don't want to use a wall plate, you can order TWO combiners instead. |
| | |
| Connect your aerial and LNB into the combiner upstairs, indoors, as close to the TV aerial as possible. Connect the combiner output to the outlet plate downstairs using a single continuous run of double-shielded cable (see page 8). (Ordinary "TV aerial cable" is very unlikely to give satisfactory results so please do not ask). Combines both signals into one cable and separates them at the outlet plate. Note: The units allow the LNB voltage and 22kHz signals to pass to the LNB without reaching the aerial. Some signal loss is inevitable so this system is not recommended for installation where the signal is already borderline in bad weather. In some cases the aerial signal may need additional amplification/attenuation. To combine two satellite LNB signals you need a Stacker/Destacker which we no longer sell. |
| FM+DAB+UHF triplexer |
| V24-310 FM+DAB+UHF triplexer. Combine all your aerial feeds into one cable. This can be fed into the DIP2 (above) to add the LNB feed as well. So all feeds can go down one cable to a decombiner wall plate or to another V24-310 to decombine them. See technical section for wiring diagram suggestion. It can also be used to combine your aerial feeds into a Global amplified splitter. You do not have to use all aerial inputs. Unused inputs should be fitted with a 75 Ohm terminator if interference occurs (usually it won't). |

| IMPORTANT: if you need to cut the dish (LNB) cable to fit a wall plate, DISCONNECT the satellite receiver power plug from the mains power socket first! Dont miss our Modular wall plates with clip-in socket inserts Notes: Triplex plates can not have a TV DC connection because that would mix with the SAT DC feed (LNB power). However, it doesn't normally matter because a Loft Box feeds power to the Remote Extender. If you are not using a Loft Box, you will need to find an alternative way to insert the DC power feed if you are using one or more Remote Extenders ("magic eye"). Diplex plates (TV and Radio) pass power only through the TV connection. Diplex plates (TV and SAT) pass power only through the SAT connection. You can drill blanking plates to fit '090-3078 Threaded "F" barrels'. We stock only fully-screened wall plates. What does this mean? The wall plates, below, and the modular wall plates on page 15a, are the only ones we stock. Please don't email us to ask if we are hiding away any other colours or configurations! |

DIP2 combiner | The V33-23PLUS takes just TWO cables. You can use it as a twin 'F' plate or as an 'F' plus TV plate or you can use a DIP2 to combine a UHF aerial feed with one LNB feed. |
| TV socket |
| *Non-isolated means that there is no capacitor to prevent a small DC voltage passing through so the socket can be used where a current at up to 24 volts is required to power equipment such as a tvLINK or an aerial masthead amplifier. This plate has one cable feeding TV (UHF) into it. The TV socket can also feed the remote control signals back to a suitable Loft Box or amplifier. This female UHF (TV) output socket requires a male TV (IEC) plug. MORE INFO |

| *Non-isolated means that there is no capacitor to prevent a small DC voltage passing through so the socket can be used where a current at up to 24 volts is required to power equipment such as a tvLINK or an aerial masthead amplifier. Off-white. This plate needs two cables. RG6 recommended. MORE INFO. |
| Single F socket |
 | 100-00107 "F" connector wall plate for Digital satellite and TV Unlike many wall plates, this has a threaded "F" connector which goes ALL THE WAY THROUGH. You fit an "F" plug on the cable coming through the wall and screw it directly into the rear connector. (Conventional unscreened types use a bridge clamp and a screw which kink the cable AND leave the central core exposed to interference.) A shallow wall box might suffice, provided that the cables come straight through the wall without bends. Otherwise requires a DEEP wall box. (35mm recommended). May require a right-angle F adaptor (see page 7). Suitable for carrying all signals 0 - 2015 MHz. Buy our Digital Wall Plate and insist that your installer fits it! | Quad F socket |
 | PLATE4F wall plate with 4 'F' connectors. Unlike many wall plates, this has four threaded "F" connectors which go ALL THE WAY THROUGH. You fit an "F" plug on the cable coming through the wall and screw it directly into the rear connector. (Conventional unscreened types use a bridge clamp and a screw which kink the cable AND leave the central core exposed to interference.) | PLATE5F wall plate with 5 'F' connectors. Unlike many wall plates, this has five threaded "F" connectors which go ALL THE WAY THROUGH. You fit an "F" plug on the cable coming through the wall and screw it directly into the rear connector. (Conventional unscreened types use a bridge clamp and a screw which kink the cable AND leave the central core exposed to interference.) Diplex Wall Plates (signal decombiners) A Diplex plate has one cable entry carrying two signals. (It may look as if there are two cable entries on the rear but only one of them has electrical contacts fitted.) TV sockets Female + Male single cable feed |
| *Non-isolated means that there is no capacitor to prevent a small DC voltage passing through the UHF connection so the socket can be used where a current at up to 24 volts is required to power equipment such as a tvLINK or an aerial masthead amplifier. This is a DECOMBINER plate that has one cable feeding TV (UHF) and radio (FM and/or DAB) into it from a Loft Box or from our UHF/FM diplexer. It separates the two into their own sockets. The TV socket can also feed the remote control signals back to a suitable Loft Box. UHF (TV) output socket requires a female TV (IEC) plug. Radio output socket requires a male TV (IEC) plug. The connections are fully screened to eliminate the possibility of interference. MORE INFO |

Triplex Wall Plates (signal decombiners) A Triplex plate has one cable entry carrying three signals. (It may look as if there are two cable entries on the rear but only one of them has electrical contacts fitted - except in the case of a plate with a RETURN feed, which takes two cables.)
