| Why is it called a PLUGBOLT? Originally we bought these from a manufacturer called S.P.I.T and called it a SPITBOLT. Nowadays they could be made by "Rawlplug", "mungo" or several other makers so we decided on PLUGBOLT because it's a screw and a plastic plug. What's it for? The purpose of the plastic plug is to fill the hole as the bolt is screwed in and to create sufficient friction to maintain a strong grip without exerting too much pressure which could crack the brick. You can used it with any type of bracket including most TV wall brackets. We strongly advise coating the whole bolt with silicone grease. This will make the bolt easier to screw in and will keep water at bay, making it easier to remove at a later date. Expanding bolt to for 10mm hole. Use for fixing dish or bracket to wall. |
