We offer free technical advice in the form of a single two minute reply by email. (One that takes no more than 2 minutes to research and type). In some circumstances we may reply to a second question if, through no fault of yours, we omitted to give some information or you feel we made a mistake. Bearing this in mind, it's a good idea to give us FULL information in your initial message, although we accept that you won't always know what we need to know. The
Technical Help form will guide you. You should read all available information in our web pages and eBooks before contacting us. This will ensure that you have at least a basic understanding. Be sure to list what you have read, otherwise we are likely, simply to direct you to read it.

Note: We will not reply to rude or abusive messages. We will not reply to messages which do not attempt to follow the basic email guidelines which you can read HERE. If you do not wish to observe these guidelines, then our offer of advice does not apply. The email guidelines have been in use for a number of years and assist us in keeping track of email enquiries which run back and forth.

If you require help in deciding what to purchase we will try to help but may be unable to because it requires too much research. Most people have no idea how much basic information is required before we can even begin to make suggestions. Most people don't even know the make/model of their own equipment. Some people expect us to advise on subjects which are outside our field of knowledge. In many cases we can research and find the answers but they don't want to pay us for our time - often on the basis of "don't you want my order?" The truthful answer is: "No - not if it means losing several more orders because we are tied up for hours researching your questions for free".

So, if we have directed you here after sending you your 2 minute free reply, it may be because you have run out of credits (see below). Or because it's obvious that you have not bothered to read the free information on our web site or in our free eBooks. Or it may be that you haven't followed our email guidelines. (Perhaps you replied but didn't quote previous relevant information ABOVE your reply). In some instances, the information that you need is in an eBook that you will need to buy. Since this is cheaper than our consultation fees, you would be wise to consider it.

If your question involves something you bought from SatCure then our advice is free insofar as we will tell you where to find instructions for use and associated information; attempt to diagnose a fault in the supplied equipment (subject to your reading all instructions and reporting your tests and findings to us in sufficient detail in accordance with our
email guidelines ) and generally give as much help as we can within our limited abilities. Unfortunately, we can spend only a limited time with each customer so we will not get involved in an endless stream of questions and answers - particularly if they involve compatibility issues with other equipment that we did not supply or if your own technical knowledge is too limited and you can't understand our answers. Please do not expect more help from us than you would expect to receive in a busy High Street store and please bear in mind that our help service is specifically limited to email. If your question relates to a previous order, you MUST include your "SAT" "Keep-me" Customer Order number from our shopping cart. (This is also the "Keep-me" number in all email messages to you). This is your proof of purchase and it allows us to see what you've ordered if it's relevant to the question.

Where our reply is inadequate or the question is too complex to cover in a simple reply, you have 4 choices:

1. Read the technical information on our web site.

2. Buy and download one or more of our comprehensive Electronic Books (eBooks). A list can be seen by clicking HERE. In most cases you can get the information that you need and it will be MUCH cheaper than a consultation.

3. Use our free discussion forum where someone might help you.

4. Pay a consultation fee. This pays for our time in researching your question(s) and submitting a report to you. We can not promise to answer all questions as our technical expertise does have limitations! If you have requested a consultation then, provided that you have given sufficient detail, we will estimate how many hours it might take us to complete the work. You can then come back and pay by using the form, below. In some circumstances we might be willing to have a telephone consultation after you have paid the initial fee but mostly we prefer to have a written record so there are no misunderstandings and no question as to whether we told you one thing or another. If you do phone, please immediately give your name and the Customer Order number from the Shopping Cart. Telephone conversations are recorded.
