Les' big SKY dish in Warsaw, Poland

First of all we had to dig a 185cm hole which was approx 1m square. This was to ensure that the base of the dish would be solidly encased in cement.

The dish comes in two halves and had to be fitted to the metal construction which was secured to the base pipe.

The dish is made of some form of laminate (the firm which produces them is called 'Laminas' from Krosno, South East Poland) 0048 13 436 20 67 and is an offset 270 cm.

Aligning the dish was fun!

Upon completion I now have all channels from Astra 2d although I must say that those which are sent as H signals are markedly weaker and so the picture goes from about 9pm to 6am sadly! Fortunately BBC London is a V and when it becomes available to all it should be visible 24hrs in the same way that the V ITV signals are.

A rear view.
