The capacitor should be connected across the thermostatic switch contacts. The appearance and location varies from boiler to boiler. The picture shows a typical installation. The capacitor is indicated by the red arrow at top right.

Please bear in mind that, if the thermostat was OK previously, then it has probably developed a fault and should be replaced. But if you've always had this problem, the capacitor should reduce or eliminate the interference.

You should also ensure that all coaxial cables are double-shielded. Old "aerial coax" is a recipe for a bad viewing experience.
