Decoupler

Decoupler fitted with two coaxial cables (not supplied). Requires F connectors. You will need to make up your own cables or buy ours from page 7 (see below).

Alternative decoupler now supplied. Order DC1 inserter on page 3

Or you can make your own decoupler!

If your "SkyLink" doesn't work while connected to your TV set aerial socket but does work when you disconnect it from your TV and just hold the connector close to the aerial socket, then our Decoupler should solve your problem. Threaded "F" screw connection each end. Fit it into a coaxial lead between the "SkyLink" and TV aerial socket.

The decoupler is shown above connected to two short cables. Each cable has an "F" connector plug at one end and a male TV (IEC) plug at the other. You can make up your own cables or you can order them as "100-00443 flex coax lead, moulded F-Plug to moulded male TV Plug" from page 7 of our on-line catalogue.

Connect the decoupler between the TV aerial socket and the tvLINK (or similar) Sky remote extender.

A Beginner's Guide to Receiver Repair

Based on the original "Screwdriver Expert's Guide to Satellite Receivers" this eBook describes the basic components and a typical power supply with diagrams and explanations. Shows how to solder and describes what to check and measure. Includes a basic guide to tracing the cause of a fault. It won't make you an expert but, if you are capable of soldering in components supplied as a kit, it will take you one step further so you understand why you are doing it and even help you figure out other possible fault causes and cures. If you buy a repair kit, you need this eBook.
