Disguise your dish

People see what they expect to see. If you put a few hanging baskets on the wall, they see hanging baskets. If you cover one of them with a plastic bag, they know there's a hanging basket inside it. If they ask why there's a bag over it, just tell them you are growing herbs or mushrooms or something that needs to be "forced" for a while in darkness. Or it's an orchid that doesn't like bright sun. Pretty soon they lose interest and you can replace the basket with a minidish. It's still hidden by the bag and, provided you hide the cable, nobody will know. You can even trail some leaves down from the bag from a small plant pot behind the dish! A dish doesn't need to be high up, provided it can "see" the satellite. It could be at ground level or hidden in a ridge between adjoining roofs. You can paint the dish or cover it with a bag and paint the bag. Just spray it with an aerosol of car paint. Or build a wooden box around it.
