Remote Doubler

You can use one remote control to operate two Sky Digiboxes independently in the same room like this.

Locate and blank off the infra-red sensor behind the front panel of BOTH Sky Digiboxes.*

(If you don't want to control the Digiboxes from any other room then you do not need the T120 amplifiers).

Connect each "RF Output 2" to a SkyLink Compatible amplified splitter (eg. a Global T120). Connect one output of each amplifier to a 38013 A/B switch which needs "F" plugs. Or our Aerial switch (but make sure the IEC plugs are soldered). Connect the switch to a "magic eye".

See our catalogue pages for these products.

You can now use the A/B switch to select which Sky Digibox you wish to control.

*Locate the position of the sensor by holding a large piece of opaque material over the front panel and pressing a button on the remote. Move the material around until you can estimate the position and size required. Fit black PVC tape over the panel in the required position.

A better method is to remove the cover and front panel and fit a piece of card directly in front of the sensor - or disconnect it electrically.
