Now Smart-SCART evolves with the launch of the Smart-SCART-PLUS (+).

So What's new?

Eight inputs. Smart-SCART-PLUS allows you to connect your video devices to your TV all at once, even if it only has one SCART connector. But now it has not just four, but no fewer than eight fully independent inputs; (six SCART and two composite / S-video).

Smart-SCART-PLUS has the intelligence to decide which device has been selected, on a priority level basis and automatically switch it through to the TV while blanking all the others. Priority is defined by input number,  i.e. Input 2 overrides Input 1, Input 3 overrides Input 2, etc… So for example if you switch on your Digital TV receiver the pictures will of course appear on your TV. If you then play a DVD for instance, this alone will be switched through to the TV. You won't have to switch the Digital receiver off first.

Smart-SCART-PLUS has Smart-Record via Input-2, as well as a separate CVBS record via Input-4. If you want to record a program from your Digital TV receiver for later viewing, but want to play a video game right away, you can do so at the same time. The DVD or game alone will be switched through to the TV, and Smart-Record will ensure your recording proceeds correctly. But that isn't all; now Smart-Record also allows you to record from any input to any recorder automatically; VCR-DVDR, DVD-VCR, DVD-DVDR, Camcorder-DVDR, etc…

Smart-SCART-PLUS has three ports with Video-Sense; Inputs-6, -7, -8, enabling any video source not equipped with automatic SCART control, (such as security cameras, baby monitors, camcorders, some home-cinemas, games consoles,) to play out via the SCART automatically.

Smart-SCART-PLUS has Smart-Cinema on Input-6, which provides auto blanking for Home Cinema systems used as 5.1 decoders. It even feeds the output audio internally so no additional leads are required.

Smart-SCART-PLUS has two built-in S-Video (S-VHS) converters on Inputs-7, -8.

Smart-SCART-PLUS can be used to output to a Videosender connected to Input-5.

Smart-SCART-PLUS is fitted with video signal amplifiers to ensure crystal clear pictures with no loss of signal.

Smart-SCART-PLUS has additional phono audio outputs for connection direct to your Hi-Fi.

Smart-SCART-PLUS will shut down to power-save mode when no signal is present.
